The amount of peptide in your vial determines how many doses you have— NOT the amount of water you add.

3-Step Process

Step 1 : Calculate the number of doses in your vial

Number of Doses = Vial Strength (mg) ÷ Desired Dose (mg)

Example: For this example, you will have a 10mg vial and require 1 mg doses.

  • 10mg vial ÷ 1mg dose = 10 doses per vial
  • This never changes, regardless of the amount of water added.

Step 2 : Calculate Volume Per Dose

Volume per Dose (ml) = Total BAC Water Added (ml) ÷ Number of Doses

Examples:

  • Add 1ml water: 1ml ÷ 10 doses = 0.1ml per dose
  • Add 2ml water: 2ml ÷ 10 doses = 0.2ml per dose
  • Add 5ml water: 5ml ÷ 10 doses = 0.5ml per dose

Same 10 doses—just different volumes!

Step 3 : Convert to Insulin Syringe Units

1ml = 100 units on standard insulin syringe

Examples:

  • 0.1ml = 10 units
  • 0.2ml = 20 units
  • 0.3ml = 30 units

Complete Examples

Example 1: Standard 10mg Vial, 1mg Dose

Given : 10mg vial, want 10mg per dose, add 1ml of BAC water

Calculate:

  1. Doses: 10mg ÷ 1mg = 10 doses
  2. Volume: 1ml ÷ 10 doses = 0.1ml per dose
  3. Units: 0.1ml = 10 units on syringe

Example 2: Same Vial more water

Given : 10mg vial, want 10mg per dose, add 2ml of BAC water

Calculate:

  1. Doses: 10mg ÷ 1mg = 10 doses
  2. Volume: 2ml ÷ 10 doses = 0.2ml per dose
  3. Units: 0.2ml  = 20 units on syringe

How to Reconstitute Your Vial

What You Need:

  • Lyophilized peptide vial
  • Bacteriostatic water
  • Sterile syringe (3ml)
  • Alcohol prep pads

The Process

1. Prepare

Clean rubber stoppers with alcohol swabs

2. Add Water

  • Draw BAC water into the syringe
  • Insert needle into peptide vial
  • Important: Aim needle at the vial wall, not directly at powder
  • Slowly inject water down the side of the vial

3. Mix

  • Never shake the vial!
  • Let dissolve naturally or gently swirl

Peptides are shipped as lyophilized powders and are stable at room temperature until reconstituted.

  • Refrigerate (2-8°C) after reconstitution
  • Use within 28 days
  • Label with date and concentration
  • Always use alcohol swabs before each use
